Casey Family Services: Management of the Development and Implementation of a Foster-Care Information System

Metis Associates managed the development and implementation of a foster-care information system that helps case workers handle cases and creates the documents required at the major foster care process decision points. Metis updated the client-tracking software used by Casey Family Services at 10 locations throughout New England. Metis was responsible for the complete system design, including specification of hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment; database design; design of forms, queries and reports; and system navigational structure. The project had two phases: software implementation and enhancements. Metis’s expert IT staff prepared detailed system specification and reporting features.
